Seth Rollins Ready to Fight CM Punk in UFC, Challenges Dana White

Seth Rollins is eager to settle his real-life animosity with CM Punk by potentially fighting him in a UFC match, despite having no martial arts background, as part of their ongoing rivalry leading up to WrestleMania 41.

Seth Rollins is gearing up to face CM Punk in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. But, their feud isn’t just for show. It’s real. Rollins is so serious about it, he’s willing to learn MMA just to fight Punk for real.

Before they share the ring with Roman Reigns, Rollins floated the idea of fighting Punk in the UFC. Why? Well, Punk tried his luck in MMA a few years back. He didn’t fare too well, though—going 0-1 with one no contest.

Punk’s second fight was overturned because Mike Jackson tested positive for marijuana. So technically, he lost both fights. But that doesn’t deter Rollins. On Robert Griffin III’s podcast, he said he’d fight Punk if Dana White booked it.

Rollins added he wouldn’t storm into Punk’s locker room and start swinging. But a sanctioned fight? He’s down for that. Just don’t ask him to face anyone else in his weight class—he’s out.

Despite Punk’s background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Rollins has no martial arts experience. He started wrestling as a teen. Yet, this doesn’t faze him. His dislike for Punk runs deep, especially after Punk’s unexpected WWE return in 2023.

Rollins didn’t hold back, likening Punk to a “cancer” on the industry. Harsh words? Maybe. But Rollins believes Punk manipulates others to build a following under false pretenses.

He claims Punk’s motives aren’t for the industry’s good but for his own gain. After all, as Punk himself said, he’s here to make money, not friends.

Would Dana White book such a fight? Probably not, given Punk’s past UFC performances. However, Rollins knows it would cause quite a stir—and rake in cash at the box office.

The merger of UFC and WWE under one company makes anything possible. “Give me a few months,” Rollins quipped about training for a potential bout. Who knows? Maybe it’ll happen.
