TJ Dillashaw has not entered the octagon in over a year since his defeat to Henry Cejudo.
Fans will have to wait until January 18, 2021, to see Dillashaw back in action. Dillashaw was suspended 2 years by USADA testing positive for EPO prior to his fight against Cejudo.
Dillashaw attended Bellator 238 where Cris Cyborg became the first MMA fighter to complete the Grand Slam. Dillashaw praised Cyborg’s performance and was asked about how the boxing match between Vasyl Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez would end.
“Lomochenko wins all day. He finishes him by putting him out.”
He was then asked if he was still interested in a boxing cross over match against rising super featherweight boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
“Of course”.
Gervonta Davis in 2018 was keen on matchup with TJ Dillashaw after his performance against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 227. He tweeted that he wanted to fight Dillashaw and Dillashaw fired back saying that Lomachenko was the king of Davis’s division.
I wanna fight the dude that fought Cody yesterday

Bring it! I heard they were handing out belts after Loma left your division

π€¦ββοΈ Love it how you have to stay relevant by running your mouth instead of what you have accomplished in boxing. Your record is as padded as a push up bra and you are ONLY relevant because of your daddy Mayweather. Never heard of a champ not βreadyβ to fight another champ. π€«

As you can see the exchange between the two men got heated. Gervonta Davis is coming off a TKO victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa and seems to have bigger plans in the boxing ring for the moment. Is a matchup between the two still a possibility?
