Tommy Fury Dismisses Jake Paul’s Claim of Beating Anthony Joshua

Tommy Fury criticized Jake Paul’s claim that he could defeat Anthony Joshua, reminding everyone of his own victory over Paul and dismissing Paul’s chances against the heavyweight champion.

Tommy Fury’s got a cheeky reminder for Jake Paul. Recently, “The Problem Child” boasted on his podcast about beating heavyweight star Anthony Joshua. Bold claim, right? He said, “I know that I will f*cking beat Anthony Joshua’s ass.” Quite the statement.

Paul didn’t stop there. He went on, “He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill, and he’s stiff. And I love you, Anthony. We’re friends, all this sh*t, but I want to fight you.” Now that’s some friendly rivalry!

Given Joshua’s impressive resume—two-time heavyweight champ and Olympic gold medalist—Paul’s bravado seems a bit… ambitious. Fury, who handed Paul his only loss in February 2023 via split decision, had to chime in. He’s skeptical about Paul’s odds against Joshua.

“Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua,” Fury mused on Instagram Stories. “Just wanted to come on here and remind everybody that that bum couldn’t beat me when I basically had a broken hand.” Ouch. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

Fury didn’t hold back: “Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy and everybody weighing this fight up, don’t bother, because he ain’t worth shilling.” Shots fired! A loss is a loss, Mr. Paul.

Despite the banter, Paul’s made waves since ditching YouTube for boxing. His 11-1 record includes bouts with MMA legends like Silva and Woodley. Oh, and he recently faced off against Mike Tyson in a Netflix mega-event.

Yet Fury remains Paul’s sole defeat—a fact he’s keen to highlight. After pulling out from a fight with Darren Till (who threatened to use MMA moves), Fury awaits his next challenge.

Paul clapped back at Fury’s jabs by dubbing him “Tommy Fumbles Fury.” In a tweet, he quipped: “Tommy Fumbles Fury…the ship has sailed mate. I’m trying to build the sport. You are trying to make a payday and hit the pub.”

No judgment here! Just two different paths in the wild world of boxing drama.
