Tommy Fury Reacts to KSI’s Challenge: The Intrusion of Jake Paul

Tommy Fury responded to KSI’s ultimatum on fighting conditions, saying he will only fight at 185 pounds and if KSI doesn’t accept, he’ll rematch with Jake Paul instead.

Tommy Fury has shown resilience amidst his fight situation. Last Friday, KSI released a YouTube video challenging Fury’s fighting conditions, especially his demand that the fight be held at 185 pounds. He warned the previous Love Island star that he could either agree to the current contract or KSI would withdraw himself. However, Fury seemed comfortable with the potential loss of his opponent, proving he could not be easily influenced.

By Saturday, Fury took to Instagram to react to KSI’s ultimatum. He reiterated his stance on fighting at 185 pounds, stating that he would instead rematch Jake Paul if KSI decided to leave. A few things needed to be addressed according to him, “KSI’s only just agreed to do drug testing for this fight, he took his time with that one, and now he’s complaining about the weight.” He expressed his determination to fight at 185, remarking that KSI should eat more if he was concerned about reaching the weight. Fury boldly put out an open invitation to Jake Paul, stating that he would gladly knock him out if they were to have a fight.

In response, Paul indicated via a tweet in February that he would consider fighting Fury in October. Confirming his willingness to match Fury, Paul posted a tweet in answer to Fury’s Instagram post. He had previously conquered Fury in a boxing match that had been anticipated for over a year. Following these exchanges, Paul is expected to compete against Nate Diaz in August in a 10-round boxing match. In a somewhat condescending tone, Paul addressed both KSI’s and Fury’s allegations, “Tommy, as my son, I’m disappointed in you, man. I made you a millionaire, I made you famous, and you haven’t said thank you! So after I knock out Nate Diaz [on] Aug. 5, I’m coming for you, Tommy. You better be ready. I’m coming.” The fight against Diaz is set to happen at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on August 5th.
