UFC 290: Sean Brady vs Jack Della Maddalena Fight in the Works for July Event

Welterweights Sean Brady and Jack Della Maddalena are set to face off at UFC 290 in Las Vegas.

Welterweight fighters Sean Brady and Jack Della Maddalena are set to face off at UFC 290, scheduled for July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The news was confirmed by multiple sources with knowledge of the promotion’s plans, following an initial report about the booking on Twitter.

Brady looks to recover from the first loss of his career, after being defeated by Belal Muhammad in October, which halted his 15-fight unbeaten streak. Prior to this setback, Brady accumulated five consecutive victories in the UFC, including wins against Michael Chiesa and Jake Matthews. On the other hand, Contender Series veteran Della Maddalena has appeared unstoppable since joining the UFC roster, securing four straight victories and concluding all his fights with a knockout or submission in the first round. Most recently, Della Maddalena vanquished Randy Brown with a rear-naked choke at UFC 284 in his native Perth, Australia.

The upcoming welterweight fight between Della Maddalena and Brady adds to the growing lineup at UFC 290, which also comprises two title fights. Alexander Volkanovski will aim to unify the featherweight championship against Yair Rodriguez, while Brandon Moreno will defend his flyweight title against Alexandre Pantoja.
