Late Sunday night, UFC announced on all social media channels that the press conference has been “postponed until further notice.” McGregor and Chandler were supposed to appear at the event at 3Arena in Dublin at 12 p.m. ET on Monday.

Here’s UFC’s full announcement:

Dear UFC Fans —

The UFC 303 press conference scheduled for Monday June 3rd in Dublin, Ireland at 3Arena has been postponed until further notice. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were planning to attend. When we have further information on a new date and time, we will share it immediately. – Thank you.

UFC 303 is set for June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor vs. Chandler will headline the event with a five-round, non-title welterweight bout.

Earlier in 2023, McGregor and Chandler coached opposite each other on The Ultimate Fighter 31.

McGregor, 35, hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in his July 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. A former two-division champion, “The Notorious” is MMA’s biggest mainstream star, boasting wins over Jose Aldo, Nate Diaz, Eddie Alvarez, Donald Cerrone, Max Holloway, Poirier, and Chad Mendes. Since his 2016 title win over Alvarez, McGregor has fought only four times, going 1-3.

Chandler, 38, a three-time former Bellator lightweight champion, has also been sidelined since his November 2022 loss to Poirier. Since joining the UFC, Chandler has won two of his five fights, knocking out Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson but losing to Justin Gaethje, Poirier, and in a title shot against Charles Oliveira.
