UFC 306 Rebranded as Riyadh Season Noche UFC at Sphere Debut

UFC 306 has been rebranded as Riyadh Season Noche UFC, set for Sept. 14 at Sphere in Las Vegas to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, marking the first UFC event with a title sponsor and promising a historic tribute to Mexican contributions to combat sports.

UFC 306 has been rebranded ahead of the promotion’s highly anticipated debut at Sphere in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday, the promotion announced the pay-per-view event will be titled Riyadh Season Noche UFC. It’s officially set for Sept. 14 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day at the city’s new major attraction.

The event will be the first in UFC history to have a sponsor with title partner status.

“This will be one of the biggest sporting events of all-time,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a press release. What we’re going to pull off at Sphere will never be done again. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sports fans.

At the same time, this is going to be an incredible tribute to the Mexican people for their extraordinary contributions to combat sports.

“We’re thrilled that Turki Alalshikh and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority have stepped up to partner with us to make this the greatest event in the history of combat sports,” White continued. Their participation shows just how massive the interest is from all over the world. Riyadh Season Noche UFC will be unforgettable.”

UFC debuted in Saudi Arabia earlier this month with a Fight Night event. Robert Whittaker capped off the card with a first-round knockout of Ikram Aliskerov.

It was revealed in May that the partnership between UFC and Saudi Arabia has been extended, with another UFC event heading to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

The promotion delivered an incredible Noche UFC event this past September, which was a Fight Night card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC flyweight champ Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko battled to a draw in the main event.

Their trilogy fight is expected to happen on Sept. 14; however, Grasso told reporters on Wednesday that Shevchenko may not be her opponent for that card.
