UFC 307 will feature Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier as the broadcast team for a card headlined by Alex Pereira‘s title defense against Khalil Rountree Jr. and Raquel Pennington defending her bantamweight title against Julianna Pena.
It’s the usual suspects appearing at UFC 307 on Saturday. The regular pay-per-view broadcast team will be calling the fights, including a pair of title bouts at the top of the card.
Jon Anik serves as the play-by-play man for the event from Salt Lake City. He’s joined by comedian and podcast magnate Joe Rogan alongside UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier, who provides color commentary for the show.
The fourth person working the broadcast is Megan Olivi. She serves as the in-arena reporter for the event.
UFC officials confirmed the broadcast team to MMA Fighting on Monday.
While there’s no surprises with the trio calling the fights, Anik, Rogan, and Cormier have plenty to discuss on Saturday. Particularly at the top with Alex Pereira returning for his third title defense in 2024 after vanquishing Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka in consecutive fights.
Pereira delivered a pair of vicious knockouts to dispatch Hill and Prochazka. Now he’ll seek a fourth straight finish when he faces an unlikely contender in Khalil Rountree Jr.
Rountree has been a staple of the UFC roster since 2016. He suffered through plenty of ups and downs as he effectively learned on the job after earning his contract with just four professional fights on his resume.
Following back-to-back losses in 2019 and 2021, Rountree has since rattled off five straight wins. This includes a vicious TKO win over one-time title challenger Anthony Smith this past December that effectively put him into a position to fight for the title.
In the co-main event, Raquel Pennington defends her bantamweight title for the first time when she faces former champion Julianna Pena. Pena returns to action for the first time in over two years. She last fought back in 2022 when she lost in lopsided fashion to Amanda Nunes.
Now she’ll attempt to claim the title for the second time while Pennington looks to build on her six-fight win streak. This streak includes her championship victory over Mayra Bueno Silva in January.
