UFC 310, the final pay-per-view event of 2024, has experienced multiple changes, including the cancellation of the Martin Buday vs. Rizvan Kuniev fight and the original main event due to Belal Muhammad‘s withdrawal, with Alexandre Pantoja now headlining against Kai Asakura for the flyweight title.
The UFC’s final pay-per-view of 2024 just hit another snag.
On Wednesday, the promotion announced Martin Buday’s withdrawal from his bout at UFC 310 against Rizvan Kuniev. The fight is off the card entirely as no replacement for Kuniev will be found.
This removal marks the fifth shuffle for the Dec. 7 event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Originally, the main event featured welterweight champ Belal Muhammad versus Shavkat Rakhmonov, but Muhammad withdrew due to a severe bone infection. Ouch.
UFC 310 still packs a punch with 14 bouts on the schedule. In the main event, Alexandre Pantoja defends his flyweight title against former RIZIN champ and newcomer Kai Asakura. Exciting stuff!
Rakhmonov stays on the card, now in the co-main event, facing fellow unbeaten welterweight Ian Machado Garry in a thrilling five-round clash.
