UFC 312, scheduled for February 9, 2025, at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, will feature a lightweight bout between Australian Tom Nolan and Viacheslav Borshchev, alongside headline title rematches in the middleweight and strawweight divisions.
The UFC’s 2025 schedule is shaping up nicely, with UFC 312 adding another exciting hometown clash.
MMA Fighting confirmed on Sunday that Australian fighter Tom Nolan will face Viacheslav Borshchev in a lightweight bout at UFC 312. The fight is set for Feb. 9 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. Marcel Dorff first broke the news.
Nolan, who appeared on the 2023 season of Contender Series, initially stumbled against Nikolas Motta in his debut. But “Big Train” bounced back strong in 2024, defeating both Victor Martinez and Alex Reyes.
Borshchev, signed from the 2021 Contender Series, has had a rollercoaster ride in the UFC. His record? A mixed bag at 3-3-1. In 2024, “Slava Claus” split his fights—losing to Chase Hooper in May but edging out James Llontop by split decision in August.
UFC 312 will be headlined by a middleweight title rematch between Dricus du Plessis and Sean Strickland. Plus, don’t miss the strawweight title showdown featuring Zhang Weili and Tatiana Suarez.
