UFC 314 Main Card Update: Carlos Prates vs. Geoff Neal Dropped

The UFC 314 main card features a series of exciting matchups, including Dominick Reyes vs. Nikita Krylov, Patricio Pitbull’s debut against Yair Rodriguez, and a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes, following Geoff Neal‘s injury that reshuffled the lineup.

The UFC 314 main card is finally set! After Geoff Neal’s injury threw a wrench in the plans, causing his fight against Carlos Prates to be scrapped, some reshuffling was in order.

Prates didn’t waste time, though. He quickly lined up a main event bout with Ian Machado Garry at UFC Kansas City, which is just around the corner. Meanwhile, the UFC 314 card didn’t have to look far to find an electrifying matchup to kick off the pay-per-view.

Dominick Reyes, a two-time light heavyweight title challenger, has been on a knockout spree lately. He’s facing Nikita Krylov in what promises to be a thrilling clash at 205 pounds. Both fighters are known finishers—expect fireworks!

Then there’s Patricio Pitbull making his long-awaited UFC debut against Yair Rodriguez at featherweight. This is a pivotal match for Pitbull, who has dreamt of competing among the world’s best. Rodriguez won’t make it easy for him.

Also spicing up the main card is Jean Silva versus Bryce Mitchell. There’s some serious bad blood brewing between these two, so expect sparks both inside and outside the cage.

In the co-main event, Michael Chandler returns to face Paddy Pimblett in what could be Pimblett’s toughest challenge yet. The Liverpool favorite aims to climb the lightweight ranks by taking down this Fight of the Night machine.

Finally, capping off the night is a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. They’re battling for a vacant belt after Ilia Topuria moved up to lightweight.

The action kicks off at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday night on ESPN+ pay-per-view. Don’t miss it!
