Alright, folks, it’s official! The UFC Atlantic City card is all set. We’re talking 14 fights, all happening at Boardwalk Hall on March 30.
Now, let’s talk headliners. Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot are topping the bill. It’s a five-round flyweight showdown that could shake up the division. Both ladies are undefeated in the UFC, boasting a combined 12-0 record in the octagon. Impressive, huh?
Originally, this fight was supposed to be the co-main event. But, alas, Sean Brady got injured. He was supposed to face Vicente Luque in what was hyped as the main event. Luque’s still on the card, though. He’ll be squaring off against Joaquin Buckley in a welterweight matchup that’s got me intrigued.
So, what’s the new co-main event? Glad you asked. Former middleweight champ Chris Weidman is stepping back into the cage. This is his second appearance since a nasty broken leg sidelined him for over two years. He lost a unanimous decision to Brad Tavares in his return bout. Now, he’s looking to bounce back against Brazilian powerhouse Bruno Silva in March.
Loopy Godinez is also making a comeback on March 30. She’s riding a four-fight win streak and will be facing Virna Jandiroba in a strawweight bout.
