Dana White has joined Meta’s board of directors, expanding his professional résumé and expressing excitement about contributing to the company’s future in social media and AI.
Dana White’s professional résumé? It’s getting even more impressive.
Meta, the giant behind Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, just dropped some big news. On Monday, they announced that the UFC CEO has joined their board of directors. Alongside him are Exor CEO John Elkann and tech investor Charlie Songhurst. Quite the lineup, huh?
“I’ve never been interested in joining a board of directors until I got the offer to join Meta’s board,” White shared in a press release. He’s all in on social media and AI as the future—can’t blame him there! Super pumped to dive into this new role, he’s keen on learning the ropes from the inside. Building brands is his jam, and he’s ready to help elevate Meta to new heights.
Mark Zuckerberg, who founded Meta (and is a serious MMA fan), couldn’t be happier. He’s thrilled to have Dana, John, and Charlie on board.
“Dana, John, and Charlie will add a depth of expertise and perspective that will help us tackle the massive opportunities ahead with AI, wearables and the future of human connection,” Zuckerberg said. Sounds like an exciting journey ahead!
But wait—there’s more! White’s schedule is packed in 2025. Starting with UFC Vegas 101 this Saturday and then onto the colossal UFC 311 event in Los Angeles next weekend. And let’s not forget Power Slap and his other ventures. Busy guy!
