Despite being a fierce UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira showed his human side by shaving his head and getting emotional during a visit to a young cancer patient at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Alex Pereira may be one of the most ferocious fighters in the octagon. But, he’s human like the rest of us.
The UFC light heavyweight champion defended his title with a brutal second-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka. This happened in the main event of UFC 303 this past month.
Recently, Pereira visited a young cancer patient at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. There, he was asked to shave his head.
“Poatan” agreed. Being a father, Pereira couldn’t help but get emotional. You can see it all in a new video on his YouTube channel.
Check out a clip of the moment in the video below.
Pereira is 2-0 in 2024. This includes a vicious first-round knockout of Jamahal Hill in April’s UFC 300 card main event.
Prior to that, Pereira captured his second divisional UFC title with a stoppage win over Prochazka. This was during their first meeting at UFC 295 last November.
