UFC Fixture: Irina Alekseeva Anticipates Fight Against Melissa Dixon

Women’s bantamweights Irina Alekseeva and Melissa Dixon are set to compete in an upcoming UFC event this fall.

A highly anticipated match, featuring rising women’s bantamweights, is on the horizon for UFC’s fall schedule. It has been confirmed by numerous people aware of the UFC’s prospective plans that the competitors will be Irina Alekseeva and Melissa Dixon. The much-awaited fight is set to be held on Oct. 14, but there is yet to be any confirmation on the exact location and venue.

Alekseeva, also known as “Russian Ronda”, with an impressive 5-1 record, will be stepping inside the Octagon for her second time after a remarkable debut. At UFC Vegas 72 in April, she took down Stephanie Egger with a kneebar, only slightly after the two-minute mark. Alekseeva made an initial splash before her UFC debut, defeating Stephanie Page unanimously at Bellator 269 in October 2021 at the age of 33.

On the other hand, Melissa Dixon, boasting an unbeaten record of 5-0, will be making her UFC debut after being signed by the promotion in June outright. The 31-year-old fighter has previously showcased her skills at Golden Ticket Promotions, recording three successive wins, before transitioning to Ares FC where she maintained her winning streak in both appearances. In her latest fight, Dixon triumphed over Darya Zheleznyakova by achieving a first-round TKO at Ares FC 9 in November last year. Dixon is knocking on the door of the top-15, as per the Global Rankings. It’s noteworthy that this write-up has been supported by contributions from expert Damon Martin.
