UFC Heavyweight Clash Set for Saudi Arabia in February

Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, both top 15 heavyweight fighters, are set to face off at the UFC event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 1, as Pavlovich seeks to end a two-fight losing streak and Rozenstruik aims to build on recent victories.

Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, two top 15 heavyweights, are gearing up for a clash. They’re set to meet at the UFC’s return to Saudi Arabia, scheduled in Riyadh on Feb. 1.

The news was confirmed by multiple insiders familiar with the promotion’s plans. Initially, MMA Mania broke the story of this exciting matchup.

Pavlovich is eyeing early 2025 as his comeback after a rough patch. He faced defeats against Tom Aspinall in an interim title fight and Alexander Volkov in June during the first UFC Saudi Arabia event.

Before these setbacks, Pavlovich was on fire! Six consecutive first-round knockouts, including notable victories over Curtis Blaydes and Tai Tuivasa.

Rozenstruik, on the other hand, has found some rhythm. He secured back-to-back wins against Tuivasa and Shamil Gaziev in recent UFC bouts. Consistency? That’s been a challenge for him—3-3 in his last six fights.

Facing Pavlovich offers Rozenstruik a shot at a higher-ranked opponent. February’s showdown in Saudi Arabia promises fireworks!

Even though the card is set for Feb. 1, we’re still waiting on the main event announcement. Stay tuned!
