UFC APEX in Las Vegas has implemented a new ticket policy for Fight Night events, allowing fighters to have four guests watch their fight only, after which they will be escorted out for a new group to enter for the next bout.
Alright, here’s the scoop. UFC APEX in Las Vegas has a fresh ticket policy for Fight Night events.
Got it from a memo that was sent out on Tuesday. UFC Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, was the one who sent it. MMA Fighting managed to get their hands on it.
So, what’s the deal? Well, fighters who are competing on an APEX card can now bring along “four friends or family to watch their fight only.” This starts with the UFC Vegas 90 event this Saturday.
But there’s a catch. Once the fighter’s bout is over, their guests gotta leave. A new group of spectators will replace them for the next bout. That’s what the memo says.
Campbell was pretty clear about it. He said, “Following the bout, your guests will be escorted out of APEX.” And this isn’t a one-time thing. It’s gonna be the norm for all UFC APEX events from now on.
Before this change, scoring complimentary tickets for APEX events was like finding a needle in a haystack. Sure, they were given out occasionally, but most of the time, it was a no-go. That’s what multiple insiders told us. One person even said that the freebies usually went to the main event fighters.
Oh, and speaking of main events, UFC Vegas 90 this Saturday? It’s gonna be a middleweight rematch between Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis. Can’t wait!
