Jan Blachowicz is set to return to the octagon at UFC London on March 22, 2024, to face Carlos Ulberg, while the event will also feature a heavyweight bout between Marcin Tybura and Mick Parkin.
Jan Blachowicz is back. Exciting, right?
The former UFC light heavyweight champ returns to action for the first time since July 2023. He faces Carlos Ulberg at UFC London on March 22 at the O2 Arena. The matchup was officially announced Tuesday, sparking quite a buzz.
Blachowicz (29-10-1) last fought against future champ Alex Pereira at UFC 291. It was a nail-biter! Blachowicz gave “Poatan” a run for his money, but the Brazilian edged out a split decision. Tough luck for Jan, who’s 1-2-1 in his last four fights.
Now, he’s up against the rising star Ulberg (11-1). This New Zealand kickboxer stumbled in his UFC debut in 2021 but has since won seven straight. His latest victory was a decision over Volkan Oezdemir in November.
In other news, the UFC announced a heavyweight clash for their London return. Veteran Marcin Tybura (26-9) will face undefeated Mick Parkin (10-0). Tybura’s fresh off a win over Jhonata Diniz at UFC 309. Meanwhile, Parkin aims to keep his perfect record intact after two wins in 2024, boosting him to 4-0 inside the octagon.
Still waiting on the headliner for UFC Europe’s card. Who will it be? Stay tuned!
