The UFC dropped the news on Wednesday. The main event of UFC Louisville? It’s Cannonier (17-6) versus Imavov (13-4, 1 NC). The venue? KFC Yum! Center. The date? June 8.

Cannonier’s got the No. 5 spot in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings. Imavov? He’s not far behind, sitting pretty at No. 11.

Wednesday’s big reveal was the cherry on top of a lineup already boasting 13 other bouts.

Cannonier’s on a mission. He’s clawing his way back to another shot at the UFC middleweight title. His track record? Impressive. Four wins in his last five bouts. His victories include back-to-back wins over Marvin Vettori and Sean Strickland. The only blot? A loss to then-champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 276.
