The night was generous. Four Performance of the Night bonuses were dished out at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Martinez, Gautier, Edgar Chairez, and Manuel Torres each pocketed an extra $50,000.
For Martinez and Gautier, their UFC debuts were nothing short of spectacular. Both fighters emerged from Dana White’s Contender Series and delivered jaw-dropping knockouts.
Martinez didn’t waste time. He welcomed Saimon Oliveira back after a two-year break with a swift knockout—less than a round! Gautier? Equally impressive, ending Saturday’s prelims with a ferocious first-round KO against Jose Daniel Medina.
Then there was Chairez. Emotional yet focused, he needed just half a round to secure victory over CJ Vergara via an impeccable rear-naked choke.
