UFC Middleweight Sedriques Dumas Faces Felony Battery Arrest

UFC middleweight Sedriques Dumas was arrested in Florida on felony battery charges and is being held without bond, with a court appearance scheduled for March 5.

Well, here’s a shocker. UFC middleweight Sedriques Dumas got himself arrested. Happened early Tuesday, down in Florida.

What’s the scoop? Escambia County jail records tell us Dumas was booked at 6:13 a.m. local. Felony battery charges, no less. But, they’re keeping mum on the details. TMZ, those gossip hounds, were the first to spill the beans on Dumas’ arrest.

Right now, Dumas is cooling his heels in the clink. No bond.

Interesting tidbit, Dumas went live on Facebook Tuesday morning. He was chatting with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Asking about their investigation into a call they got. Apparently, Dumas was causing a “disturbance.” But Dumas? He says he was just out for a stroll “to blow off some steam.”

The call? It was supposedly made by a woman. She claimed “her boyfriend was banging on the door and ringing the doorbell,” as one officer put it. Dumas? He denied it all. Even corrected the officer, saying they weren’t an item anymore.

The video takes a turn then. Looks like Dumas getting arrested, all the while denying the allegations.

According to the records, Dumas is still in jail. He’s got a court date on March 5.

On a side note, Dumas is a 9-1 fighter. His last bout was at UFC 294 in October. Scored a unanimous decision win over Abu Azaitar. That’s his second straight victory in the octagon.
