Sean Strickland, the 32-year-old middleweight fighter, earned an extra paycheck for his stellar performance in UFC Vegas 76. He secured a knockout victory against Abus Magomedov in the second round, bagging the Performance of the Night honors on Saturday. This marked his first finish since 2020. Strickland was awarded a $50,000 bonus for his impressive fight. This serves as his first post-fight bonus after UFC Vegas 14, where he finished off Brendan Allen seven fights ago.
Meanwhile, UFC newcomer Nursulton Ruziboev also had a spectacular night. He caught the audience’s attention during the main card opener, requiring a mere 77 seconds to knock out Brunno Ferreira. Like Strickland, Ruziboev was also honored with a Performance of the Night bonus. This demonstrates the potential the newcomer poses in his upcoming fights in the UFC.
Elves Brener and Guram Kutateladze also made headlines during their thrilling preliminary card battle. The lightweights were awarded Fight of the Night honors for their enthralling match. Brenner endured early adversity and emerged victorious after a bloody battle, securing a third-round TKO against Kutateladze, who was a heavy favorite in the fight. In line with typical UFC guidelines, all bonuses, including those awarded to Brenner and Kutateladze, were $50,000 each. The exciting UFC Vegas 76 event took place on Saturday, July 1, at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
