UFC Vegas 76: Sean Strickl & vs Abusupiyan Magomedov Headline Event

UFC Vegas 76 is headlined by a middleweight fight between Sean Strickland and Abusupiyan Magomedov, with Strickland being an aggressive striker and Magomedov regarded as a challenge that “literally nobody wants to fight.”

UFC Vegas 76 features a middleweight fight between Sean Strickland and Abusupiyan Magomedov as its main event. UFC President Dana White made the announcement for the five-round fight during a special announcement on the promotion’s YouTube channel. Taking place on July 1, the event will be hosted at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

According to Dana White, Strickland faces a significant challenge in Magomedov, a fighter that “literally nobody wants to fight.” Magomedov made his octagon debut in September, following a series of cancellations. During his debut, he fought against Dustin Stoltzfus and won with a front kick and punches, all within the first round.

In this matchup, Magomedov faces Strickland, an aggressive striker whose relentless pressure yields impressive results. Strickland most recently defeated another contender, Nassourdine Imavov, in a bid to bounce back from a decision loss to former title challenger Jared Cannonier. The July 1 match will mark Strickland’s fourth fight in 12 months, and he currently holds a 1-2 record following his loss to Cannonier and a knockout loss to former champion, Alex Pereira.
