Brad Riddell has withdrawn from his upcoming UFC Vegas 88 fight for undisclosed reasons, and will be replaced by newcomer Mitch Ramirez, who will fight against Thiago Moises.
Brad Riddell’s out. Yep, you heard it right. He’s been pulled from his upcoming bout for reasons we’re not privy to. So, who’s stepping in? Mitch Ramirez, the newbie. He’s expected to square off against Thiago Moises at UFC Vegas 88. When? March 16. Where? The UFC APEX in Las Vegas, of course.
How do we know? Well, multiple sources close to the promotion spilled the beans to MMA Fighting on Friday. So, it’s pretty legit.
Let’s talk about Ramirez. This is his first time in the octagon. His record? Impressive. 8-1 overall. He’s fresh off a knockout win in LFA last December. But, here’s a twist. He didn’t quite make it to a UFC contract when he lost to Carlos Prates in the Contender Series last August. But hey, life’s full of surprises. Now, he’s got a short-notice fight.
Then, there’s Moises. The Brazilian fighter. He’s looking to rebound after a loss to Benoit Saint Denis last year. It was a Fight of the Night effort at the UFC Paris card. Before that? He was on a roll, with two straight wins over Melquizael Costa and Christos Giagos.
So, Moises and Ramirez are in for UFC Vegas 88. The main event? A heavyweight clash between Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura. Should be a good one.
