UFC Vegas 94 featured standout performances with Virna Jandiroba, Steve Garcia, Bruno Silva, and Hyder Amil each earning $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for their impressive victories.
UFC Vegas 94 had no shortage of bonus-worthy performances.
Four fighters were rewarded an extra $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus on Saturday. Virna Jandiroba scored a slick submission over Amanda Lemos in the main event. Undercard fighters Steve Garcia, Bruno Silva, and Hyder Amil all won by knockout.
Jandiroba closed the show in style. She sealed a win by forcing Lemos to tap out to an armbar late in the second round. Not only did Jandiroba earn the second Performance of the Night bonus of her UFC career, but she also won her fourth straight fight. This could possibly set up a title shot against strawweight champion Zhang Weili.
Garcia also earned his second bonus check after needing a little more than 90 seconds to swarm Seung Woo Choi and force a stoppage via strikes in Saturday’s co-main event. That’s four straight wins now for Garcia, all by KO/TKO.
Speaking of streaks, “Bulldog” Silva’s second-round TKO of Cody Durden was his fourth win in a row as well as his fourth consecutive $50,000 bonus.
The undefeated Amil overwhelmed Jeong Yeong Lee in a 65-second slugfest. He captured a UFC bonus for the first time in his career.
