Yazmin Jauregui and Ketlen Souza are set to face off in a strawweight bout at UFC 306 in Las Vegas, with the event yet to announce its headlining fight.
A Mexico vs. Brazil showdown is booked for UFC 306, which takes place at Sphere in Las Vegas. Yazmin Jauregui and Ketlen Souza have agreed to meet in a strawweight showdown.
Both athletes confirmed the bout to MMA Fighting following a report by ESPN Deportes. The promotion has yet to announce a headlining attraction for the Sept. 14 pay-per-view.
Jauregui (11-1) has won three of four fights since joining the UFC in 2022. She’s gone 2-1 against Brazilian opponents.
A tournament winner for Combate Global, Jauregui has scored seven of her wins by knockout. In her most recent octagon appearance this past February, she topped Sam Hughes via unanimous decision.
Souza (14-4) defeated Marnic Mann via decision this past April. This victory improved her record to 1-1 under the UFC banner.
“Esquentadinha” joined the promotion after winning the Invicta FC flyweight title by defeating Kristina Williams in 2023. She also holds belts from the Brazilian regional scene, including titles from Standout Fighting Tournament and Mr. Cage.
