Yoel Romero, known for his Dirty Boxing prowess, is set to headline the first public fight card of the promotion against former Bellator fighter Ras Hylton on March 22 in Miami.
Yoel Romero might just be the poster boy for Dirty Boxing. Seriously.
Remember last year? BKFC star Mike Perry dove into the promotional scene, launching his own hybrid-rules fight promotion, aptly named Dirty Boxing. It’s got three-minute rounds and—get this—elbows are fair game! Their first event was a private shindig in Miami last November, where Romero absolutely demolished Duane Crespo in the main event. Fast forward to now, and Dirty Boxing is making waves again, with Romero headlining once more.
So, what’s the latest? On Wednesday, Dirty Boxing spilled the beans: Romero’s set to face off against former Bellator fighter Ras Hylton. This showdown will headline their first public fight card on March 22 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami. Mark your calendars!
Since that epic knockout of Crespo at the inaugural event, Romero’s been laying low. But the 47-year-old Olympic silver medalist in wrestling isn’t done yet. He’s recently inked a deal with GFL and is rumored to be facing Mauricio Rua later this year. Meanwhile, Hylton hasn’t stepped into the ring since his knockout loss at Cage Titans back in 2023. Talk about a comeback story!
