Youssef Zalal is on one heck of a hot streak.
“The Moroccan Devil” has made quite a splash, racking up three consecutive wins at UFC Edmonton this year. His latest victory? A slick arm-triangle choke submission against Jack Shore, right after landing a knee that left fans gasping.
Check out the jaw-dropping knee and submission finish below.
The fight started competitively, but early in Round 2, Zalal seized an opportunity. Shore made a mistake, and bam! A knee right up the middle rocked the Welshman. Although Shore wasn’t knocked out cold, he couldn’t shake it off as Zalal pounced from the top. It was only a matter of time before Zalal locked in that arm-triangle, forcing Shore to tap.
The official end came just 59 seconds into the second round. Quick work!
Zalal (16-5-1) is shining in his second UFC stint. He’s notched back-to-back submission wins over Shore, Jarno Errens, and Billy Quarantillo. His first UFC run? A mixed bag at 2-3-1. But after some time back on the regional circuit, he’s stormed back with six straight victories—all by knockout or submission.
