Former ONE champion Zebaztian Kadestam is set to return to the ring against Isi Fitikefu at ONE Fight Night 31 on May 2 in Thailand, marking his first fight since defeating Roberto Soldic in 2023.
Zebaztian Kadestam, the former ONE champion, is gearing up for his comeback. He’ll face Isi Fitikefu at ONE Fight Night 31 on Friday, May 2, at Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand.
The matchup was confirmed by ONE officials to MMA Fighting this past Wednesday.
This fight marks Kadestam’s first appearance in ONE Championship since his electrifying knockout of Roberto Soldic in 2023. That victory was his third consecutive stoppage win, a turnaround after a rough patch of three straight losses.
Kadestam’s resurgence began after his last defeat in 2021. His string of impressive performances includes the memorable finish over Soldic, who himself recently knocked out Dagi Arslanaliev. Fun fact: Soldic remains the last person to defeat UFC middleweight champ Dricus du Plessis.
Since joining ONE Championship in 2017, Kadestam has faced off against notable fighters like Ben Askren, Tyler McGuire, and Murad Ramazanov. Quite the roster!
On the other hand, Fitikefu steps into his fourth bout with ONE, holding a record of 2-1 so far. His latest triumph was over Hiroyuki Tetsuka back in 2024.
ONE Fight Night 31 will be broadcast on Amazon Prime in the U.S., featuring not just fights but also a standout grappling match with Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Tye Ruotolo. Exciting times ahead!
