UFC welterweight Max Griffin has been on a mission to be a contender in the welterweight division. This past weekend, Griffin defeated welterweight prospect Kenan Song by knockout at UFC on ESPN 21 at the UFC Apex Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The knockout over Song earned Griffin a “Performance of the Night Bonus.” The win also marked two straight devasting wins for Griffin in the UFC.
Griffin spoke on his two-fight winning streak and believes this is only the beginning.
“I’m bringing carnage, Bro,” said Griffin in the interview. I was bringing carnage before, but now I’m finishing fools. It’s going to be beautiful; it’s going to be fun.”
After his win, Griffin called out Geoff Neal for a fight at UFC 262 on May 15th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. However, Griffin has also expressed interest in fighting former UFC welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler. “I’d love to fight Robbie Lawler. That would be f*cking lit,” said Griffin. Regardless of who is next, Griffin is looking to take the welterweight division by storm.
