Woodley is looking to bounce back from his title loss against Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 on March 2, 2019. After losing to Usman, Woodley didn’t fight the rest of 2019 and has found success outside of fighting. However, the former welterweight champion is still in the mix of being a contender.  A win over Edwards can remind everyone that he’s still one of the best welterweights in the world and that he deserves another chance at being champion.

A post shared by Leon "Rocky" Edwards (@leon_edwardsmma) on

Edwards is looking to continue the momentum he is on and make his case for being next in line for a title fight. On an impressive eight-fight win streak, Edwards has slowly been on the rise in the welterweight division. Edwards is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC on ESPN 4 on July 20, 2019. His last loss was against the current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman by unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 17 on December 19, 2015, and Edwards has wanted the rematch. A win over the former champion Woodley would solidify that Edwards is the real deal in the welterweight division.
