The UFC is partnering with Facebook to deliver original content on the social media platform. This was first reported by Variety’s Todd Spangler and the deal came together before UFC 246 this past weekend. The deal is reported to be for one year and the UFC has already released content, that helped promote UFC 246.

The UFC will be releasing three original shows for Facebook Watch. The show names are “Quick Hits” hosted by Laura Sanko, “The Check-in Show” and “Fighter Commentary.” “Quick Hits” will be covering UFC events as it’s happening, with interviews from people at the event. “The Check-in Show” will be a show with “athletes” or “personalities” regarding upcoming events or matchups per reports from Variety. “Fighter Commentary” will be a show that fighters on the card for upcoming events will look back at their past fights and discuss them.

The UFC’s Facebook has more followers than their Instagram and Twitter combined, which makes sense of why they are trying to grow their brand and increase viewership with the Facebook deal. The UFC has already started promoting this weekend’s event UFC Fight Night 166, which features a main event between heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Junior Dos Santos.
